If you're thinking this seems a bit early, you are correct! With the Aries new moon coming just one day after equinox (spring or fall depending on what side of the world you live on, but I know you know this) on Tues. 3/21, and this being such an important new moon and dark moon, we are doing this month's live right after the last quarter moon as the waning crescent moon begins to give you an entire week to work with this information and waning moon release. Next Tuesday's new moon at 0° Aries isn't just the first new moon of the astrological year, it is the equinox new moon, and the first of two new moons in a row in Aries. While the first one on 3/21 is at 0°, in the beginning degree of the sign, the second one will be 4/20, at 29°, in the final degree of the sign - the anaretic or karmic degree. And that one will be our first eclipse of 2023. In between these two new moons, we have Pluto moving into Aquarius on 3/23 - a monumental energetic shift, since Pluto hasn't changed signs since 2008, and it hasn't been in Aquarius for over two centuries. This new moon is combining with the April new moon to move us into an entirely new era, which means we are in the process of leaving the old era behind, and that's exactly what this next week of waning crescent and dark moon leading us into equinox on 3/20 and the 3/21 Aries new moon is here to help us do. Keep in mind, leading into this new moon, both sun and moon will be in the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces. Next weekend is prime time for turning inward and creating space within ourselves to allow deep and healing release before we move through equinox on Monday and then Tuesday's new moon portal.
